November, 2013 (Citiscapes Magazine article)  The Miller McNeil Woodruff Foundation is very proud to be recognized as the 2013 Outstanding Foundation, presented by the local chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.  The Award will be presented at the 12th Annual Northwest Arkansas National Philanthropy Day Luncheon, November 13, 2013.  Read the Article

8/29/2013 Circle of Life donation
Today The Miller McNeil Woodruff Foundation presented Circle of Life Hospice with a $25,000 donation! This donation will go towards the recently launched, Circle of Life Hospice Foundation.

We're thrilled to announce we raised $180,000 at the 2nd Annual Cupcakes & Cocktails, which was held on March 29, 2013.  More info later!

Thursday, October 18, 2012 - Circle of Life Donation
Another proud day for The Miller McNeil Woodruff Foundation! We presented Circle of Life with another $15,000 to go towards the Capital Campaign for the new Circle of Life Hospice Home at Legacy Village being built in Bentonville.

Thursday, September 6, 2012 - Proud day for The Miller McNeil Woodruff Foundation
Today we presented Arkansas Children’s Hospital with a $100,000 check that will launch The Miller McNeil Woodruff Endowment for Neuromuscular Disorders.

Circle of Life donation…..
Because of all of Miller’s many supporters, The Miller McNeil Woodruff Foundation was able to make a $10,000 donation to Circle of Life Hospice.

Mamie’s Poppy Plates
Mamie's Poppy Plates is a donation supported non-profit, whose mission is to provide tangible mementos to families who suffer stillbirth or infant death.

Our bundle of PURE joy!

March 28, 2011, I gave birth to our second son, Miller McNeil Woodruff.  He was the picture of perfection.  An 8 pound 12 ounce bundle of PURE joy!

It was around our second week at home that my mom began to make comments about his lack of movement.  Miller just didn’t seem to wiggle as much as most newborn babies do. 

Patrick and I discounted her concern and continued to be thankful for our “laid back” baby.

Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), the number one genetic killer of children under the age of two, is a group of inherited and often fatal diseases that destroy the nerves controlling voluntary muscle movement, which affects crawling, walking, head and neck control and even swallowing.

SMA is the number one genetic killer of children under the age of two.
